How to use this work sheets

Dear Parents,

We can find lot of free kids homework worksheets available in the internet but how do we use them. How do we know the proficiency level which we need to move forward. How long kids have to do the same kind of worksheet so they will attain the desired proficiency level for lifelong retaining of what they have learned.

This blog will address those questions by having timing for each worksheet. The worksheets in the 0-5 minutes have to be completed in 0 – 5 min with all problems correct before they can move on to next level. If they can't compete in 0-5 min then give worksheets in same level and pick them in random order as they don't want to memorize the same worksheet. In the same token,if they can complete the worksheets in 0-5 min don't make them to do all worksheets in that level it is waste of time and kids will get bored. Also, I organized the worksheets like subject Level Subject Level.....

If you take math, first start with Math 1….then continue to Math 2…

If you see same levels like Math 1 Addition and Math 1 Geometry then you can give worksheets from both the section at the same time.

Make it a daily practice of 30 minutes to 1 hour to do these worksheets.

Brain teasers are optional and is to identify kids how smart they are in the particular level.

You can participate in this too...simply add a comment with the url you want to add to particular time heading and we will add it eg) if you want to add url to 0-5 min , just add comment in that section

If you find your kid can do it faster than or slower than what we have categorized, please let us know we can move the worksheet accordingly based on number of kids doing at the same pace. For example if we get many comments for worksheet X that kids are completing fast than what we have categorized then it will be the timing for that worksheet and will move there.

Also, to encourage kids ,keep printing reward certificates and distribute as needed. Maybe, if they collect certain number of certificates or rewards , give them some gifts which they like.
